About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Projects – SAP Specialist
to support the Operational Readiness team within a major mining project. Reporting to the Operational Readiness Superintendent – Major Projects, you will play a key role in ensuring all operational readiness activities are completed efficiently and aligned with the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with the project delivery team, asset owners, and central support functions to ensure SAP master data is set up correctly and operational handover is seamless and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to understand scope, schedules, and readiness requirements
- Coordinate with Asset Owners and provide regular updates on operational readiness progress
- Liaise with Central Support functions to ensure adherence to corporate standards
- Conduct spares criticality assessments, cataloguing, and stock planning
- Create and update SAP master data (Function Locations, Equipment, BOMs, Maintenance Plans, Task Lists, etc.)
- Facilitate meetings, drive communication across teams, and ensure progress reporting
- Support compliance with Maintenance Philosophy, legislation, and FMECA requirements
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Trade qualification – Electrical preferred
- Solid experience in maintenance planning and SAP Master Data creation
- Mining industry background with strong knowledge of maintenance processes
- Understanding of operational readiness fundamentals
- Confident stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
