Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Project Scheduler (Level 3) to join our Federal Government client based in Port Adelaide. This is a full-time temporary contract through to June 2026, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a complex, high-profile, and strategically significant defence program, the SSN-AUKUS Phase 3 program. Candidates must hold an NV1 security clearance.
Scope of Services The successful candidate will deliver critical scheduling support, including:
- Applying advanced project scheduling and data management expertise to maintain and enhance the program schedule.
- Providing planning, scheduling, and technical advice to ensure successful delivery of the SSN-AUKUS Phase 3 program.
- Developing and maintaining robust program schedules, overseeing task coordination, dependencies, and critical path monitoring.
- Producing high-quality documentation for schedule reporting and refining performance metrics, evaluation, and reporting quality.
- Establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with Australian and international shipbuilders.
- Documenting and maintaining the scheduling team’s business processes and controls.
- Transferring knowledge to enhance the skills of the Australian Public Service (APS) within the SSPD scheduling team.
- Performing additional tasks as directed to support program objectives.
- Regular updates to the Commonwealth Representative (or delegate) on:
- Status of current work activities.
- Forecasted upcoming work.
- Critical issues and risks related to current and forecasted work.
- A timesheet detailing hours worked during the reporting period.
- Ongoing support for day-to-day scheduling team deliverables.
Evaluation Criteria Responses will be evaluated based on value for money, consistent with Commonwealth procurement policies, using the following criteria:
- Expertise and Experience: Demonstrated expertise and experience of the proposed personnel in delivering the required scope of work.
- Relevant Program Experience: Significant experience working on complex major acquisition programs comparable in size and complexity to the Nuclear Powered Submarine Program.
- Communication and Leadership: Proven ability to establish and maintain constructive cross-team communications and represent the program at senior executive levels in government and industry.
- Compliance: Adherence to the requirements outlined in the Request for Quotation for Tendered Services (RFQTS).
- Security Clearance: Candidates must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
