Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects including managing PCGs (Project Control Groups), status reporting, contracts, budgets, and timelines.
- Work closely with designers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, utilities, and internal teams to meet project goals.
- Prepare tender requests, review specifications and drawings, and manage contract administration.
- Oversee projects from design through construction, including stakeholder consultation and liaison with government bodies.
- Report regularly to the Manager Works and Projects and other stakeholders.
- Make informed decisions regarding budgets, engineering practices, tender and contract issues.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with all stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project meetings and manage procurement and scheduling.
- Identify risks, develop management strategies, and ensure professional project management within defined parameters.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Relevant qualifications in Building Construction Project Management or extensive related experience.
- Class C driver's licence.
- WHS Construction Induction Certification.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience managing multiple projects end-to-end, especially in buildings.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working in local government.
