About the role:
This Agency is looking for a Project Officer (APS5 equivalent) to provide support across project administration, reporting, procurement, finance, and stakeholder coordination within at an ICT Program
The Project Officer will work under general direction to help manage project documentation, track risks and issues, assist with meetings, and support procurement and contract activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality administrative support including program reporting, record keeping, briefs, minutes, and communication material.
- Prepare documentation and provide secretariat support for project meetings and governance forums.
- Assist with procurement submissions and supporting documents in line with Commonwealth legislation and procedures.
- Support scheduling, resource planning, risk and issue tracking, and financial administration.
- Assist with budgeting, financial data collation, and reporting to support decision-making.
- Provide contract management support including contract variations, review of deliverables, and closure processes.
- Manage configuration items and project assets using established tools and processes.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support the delivery of complex ICT capability.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- You will demonstrated experience supporting complex ICT or Defence projects.
- You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- You will have experience using Defence financial systems.
- You will have ability to work constructively within a project team.
- NV1 clearance required
