Project Manager – Water Utilities Infrastructure
Location: Bowen Basin
Roster: Monday to Friday (FIFO & DIDO flexibility available)


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Infrastructure & Services Engineering team, with a focus on delivering water and sewage treatment plant upgrade projects. This role spans the full project lifecycle and involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver infrastructure that supports long-term operational success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project proposals and business cases aligned with capital expenditure processes.
  • Lead all aspects of project management across scope, budget, and schedule
  • Oversee engineering design, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, maintenance, operations, procurement, legal, environmental, and more.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including local councils, Sunwater, landholders, and other mining companies.
  • Support contractor onboarding and manage contracts through execution.
  • Provide onsite support during construction phases in accordance with Safety Health Management Systems (SHMS).

About You
  • 10+ years of experience in the construction, mining, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience delivering process plant upgrade projects, preferably involving water utilities systems.
  • Familiarity with systems such as SAP and Microsoft Project (or other scheduling tools).
  • Strong contract management and commercial acumen in project execution.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Committed to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for fostering team culture and mentoring diverse teams.
