We are currently recruiting for a  Project Manager (Infrastructure Review)  to join a Local Council on a contract role until December 2025, with potential for extension. The position offers  $600–750 per day + super, with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH). Part-time options will also be considered.

About the Role
This role leads the delivery of a strategic infrastructure review to produce high quality planning reports addressing infrastructure and land acquisition. The project is supported by federal funding and you’ll manage consultants, coordinate stakeholder engagement, oversee tender packages, and ensure the project delivers timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery and manage external consultants
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and federal grant reporting
  • Oversee three tender packages
  • Facilitate Council-led community engagement
  • Resolve planning and infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate across departments and report to the Executive Planner
Essential Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project or Program Management
  • Proven experience in project delivery of complex and politically sensitive projects
  • Experience of working with government to manage a team of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in project tools (e.g., MS Project, PRINCE2)
Desirable
  • Background or qualifications in Town Planning, Transport Planning, Strategic Planning or infrastructure related planning
  • Experience in Local Government
  • Ability to work flexibly and engage with diverse communities
