About the Client:

Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for talented Project Managers / Officers to join their busy team for a casual 12 months temporary assignment.


About the Role

As a Project Manager / Officer, you will provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders, including on workforce development. In addition, your key duties are as follow:

  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
  • Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
  • Coordinate regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Prepare draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
  • Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
  • Contribute to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

 
About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Proven experience as a Project Officer ideally with background in workforce planning
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in a government department, agency or public sector 
  • An understanding of disability, health, allied health or related sectors

  • Multiple Positions Available:
    • Manager: $602.55 per day + super
    • Senior: $60.26 per hour + super
    • Mid-Level: $55.24 per hour + super
    • Multiple locations available:
      • Newcastle NSW
