Mechanical Project Engineer – Newcastle, NSW
About the Role
We’re looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a major industrial manufacturing facility in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to lead mechanical engineering projects in a highly regulated environment, supporting process safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
- Ensure all projects meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and practical solutions.
- Provide technical support for maintenance, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure timely delivery.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in industrial or chemical manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management, mechanical systems, and process safety.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
