About the Role
This is an early-career opportunity for a Project Engineer in the civil engineering the team onsite at a major tailings dam project. This role has become available due to project expansion and aims to ensure the safe, compliant, and timely delivery of critical works at the mine Operations site. The successful candidate will support project delivery through site-based leadership in quality, procurement, progress tracking, and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide site-based civil engineering support to facilitate safe and efficient project execution
  • Manage all QA/QC activities, including coordination and sign-off of inspection and testing documentation
  • Ensure construction works adhere to approved designs, standards, and specifications
  • Support procurement processes and materials coordination to meet project schedules
  • Monitor contractor productivity and track progress against project timelines
  • Forecast project outcomes and advise the Construction Manager on schedule risks and delivery issues
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with site leadership, designers, and stakeholders
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental and statutory requirements
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Early career opportunity with experience in a site-based project engineering role, preferably within mining, civil, or infrastructure projects
  • Solid experience managing QA/QC processes and documentation on construction sites
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Proven ability to coordinate technical documentation such as ITPs, ITRs, and TQs with design teams
  • Practical experience supporting procurement, expediting, and on-site materials management
  • Understanding of construction scheduling, productivity monitoring, and progress forecasting
  • High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to work
  • (Desirable) Experience on mine site civil projects, particularly tailings dam construction, pipeline relocations, or related infrastructure
  • (Desirable) Familiarity with client QA/QC systems and compliance frameworks
