Project/ Construction Advisor

Construction Advisor – FIFO 8:6 | Pilbara Projects Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off
Location: FIFO from Perth to Pilbara mine sites
Contract: 12-month contract
Rate:$93.00 per hour

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Advisor to support major capital and sustaining projects across large-scale mining operations in the Pilbara. This is a site-based role within an operational brownfield environment, providing hands-on construction oversight to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with site standards and statutory requirements.
You will act as the key interface between project teams, site operations and construction contractors, ensuring safe and efficient execution of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day construction oversight across brownfield mining projects
• Ensure all construction activities comply with site standards, procedures and statutory requirements
• Coordinate and manage construction contractors, ensuring work is risk-assessed and executed safely
• Support construction input during planning, execution and handover phases
• Conduct field verification, inspections and quality assurance checks
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and support mitigation strategies
• Support SIMOPS planning, permit-to-work processes and construction readiness reviews
• Work closely with operations, engineering, HSE and project management teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement in construction methodologies and site safety performance

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Construction Advisor, Construction Supervisor or similar
• Demonstrated experience in brownfield construction within operating mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of construction safety systems, permits and risk management processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, scopes and technical documentation
• Proven ability to engage and manage contractors and site stakeholders
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to a strong safety culture

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or engineering background (highly desirable)
• Construction White Card(mandatory)
• Relevant site inductions (advantageous; can be arranged)
• High-risk licences or tickets desirable, depending on discipline
