About the Role
As Master Scheduler, you will create and manage a comprehensive program-wide integrated schedule that spans business units, technology teams and external vendors. The most challenging aspect of this role will be the coordination and integration of Tier 1 system integrators into the broader program schedule, ensuring their deliverables align seamlessly with business and technology streams. Your expertise in schedule and dependency management will keep this large-scale ICT program moving forward. You will engage stakeholders at all levels to address risks, resolve resource conflicts and adapt to evolving program priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrated Schedule Management: Build and maintain a master schedule spanning Business, Technology and Vendor activities, ensuring alignment to program objectives.
- Framework and Standards: Develop and implement robust ICT scheduling and dependency management frameworks.
- Resource Demand Planning: Accurately reflect and forecast ICT resource needs, proactively resolving conflicts.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide tailored schedule views and reports, including critical path analysis, for program governance and steering committees.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Program Leads, Workstream Leads, Vendors and especially Tier 1 system integrators to gather updates, manage changes and communicate risks.
- Dependency Management: Track, report and manage cross-stream and vendor dependencies to safeguard ICT delivery timelines.
- Vendor Oversight: Ensure vendor deliverables are monitored and tracked against contractual obligations, with a strong focus on Tier 1 system integrator performance.
We need someone who can balance rigour with flexibility. You will uphold scheduling standards but also adapt when real-world program challenges arise.
Success Profile
- Proven experience as a Master Scheduler in large-scale ICT or business transformation programs, ideally involving Tier 1 system integrators(not construction or engineering).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Experience developing WBS and dependency frameworks for ICT programs.
- Skilled at synthesising complex data into clear, actionable reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Information Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with project methodologies and scheduling tools such as MS Project.
