We are seeking an APS 6 Information Operations Network (ION) Team Lead to join our client based in Sydney for a 9 month full time temporary contract with potential extension. The successful candidate will lead production, training, and operational activities, ensuring the delivery of complex information effects across various initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in information operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement within a high-security environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and deploy complex information environments aligned with organisational objectives.
- Develop and deliver specialised training programs related to information effects and warfare.
- Lead and coordinate a team of Officers to ensure high-quality output.
- Collaborate on the creation and adaptation of Information Network assets for strategic use.
- Support deployment activities, including travelling to and supporting exercises as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant information security, privacy, and governance policies.
- Maintain and build key stakeholder relationships, representing the team at conferences and seminars.
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise
- Contribute to policy development, operational infrastructure, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise team functionality.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. You are passionate about information operations and possess a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a complex security environment.
- Relevant experience in information operations, influence, or psychological operations.
- Demonstrated leadership in a team environment, with experience managing production or project teams.
- Strong understanding of information security, data governance, and privacy frameworks.
- High proficiency with MS Office applications, internet research, and social media platforms.
- Experience in project management and delivering high-impact training programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organisation effectively.
- Security clearance NV1/NV2 (or eligible to obtain).
- Adobe Suite or similar design software expertise.
- Video editing and multimedia production skills.
- Proven strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt strategies as needed.
