About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join their Procurement Unit. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of efficient and compliant procurement services across the business units. You will administer the end-to-end procurement process in line with legislative and governance requirements, contributing to achieving value-for-money outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Team Leader Procurement in implementing and monitoring procurement systems and practices to ensure compliance and probity.
- Prepare procurement documents in accordance with legislation, policies, and safety/environmental standards.
- Publish and manage procurement documents electronically in line with procedures and legal requirements.
- Facilitate the evaluation of procurement submissions with business units and evaluation panels.
- Prepare contract documentation and manage contract execution processes.
- Administer contract registers and vendor panels, maintaining accurate records within the document management system.
- Support the Procurement Unit in delivering services and assist with spend analysis to identify procurement opportunities.
- Collaborate with various business units to secure value-for-money procurement outcomes.
- Provide support to the Team Leader Procurement with other duties as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive procurement-related experience.
- Proven experience in procurement management functions and processes.
- Experience with government tendering and contract management.
- Knowledge of contractor performance evaluation and contract performance management.
- Familiarity with SAP contract management modules.
- Understanding of NSW Local and State Government contracts, policies, and regulations.
