Process Engineer

An established manufacturing business renowned for quality, reliability and service is looking to hire a ‘Process Engineer’ on a permanent basis.
 
The Process Engineer will sit within the Process Improvement Team with their objective being to apply manufacturing and engineering practices within the plant to improve safety, operating performance all while reducing costs, delays and waste.

Location:           Sydney South (Wollongong area)
 

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot process issues using methods such as ‘Root Cause Analysis’.
• Investigate and implement process improvement projects
• Implement corrective actions
• Review manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities
• Develop, review, and monitor operating procedures
• Provide technical support and coaching to operations personnel

 
Qualifications & Skills:

• Ideally Engineering qualification (Material, Process, Mechanical or Mechatronics)
• Experience in process improvement within manufacturing environment
• Control systems experience beneficial (PLC, SCADA etc.)
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• Ideally an understanding around lean manufacturing principles
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills
