Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of the world's #1 AI CRM leader to find a dynamic Emerging Solutions Engineer to join their Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) team in Sydney. This is not a software development role; it’s a high-impact, entry-level Pre-Sales Consulting position where you’ll support the sales engine and accelerate your path to becoming a Solution Engineer.

The Role: Blending Business & Technology
As an Emerging Solutions Engineer, you'll be the crucial technical expert supporting the sales team as they engage with diverse Australian SMBs (businesses with 1 to 200 employees). You'll work across the entire broad platform, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and associated technologies like Tableau and Slack, making you a true generalist problem-solver. Your success is measured by the degree to which you impact sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consulting & Discovery: Engage with prospective customers to understand their business goals(e.g., driving leads, improving support efficiency) and their current technical landscape.
  • Solution Mapping: Analyze business challenges, perform quantitative analysis to show the impact of solving them, and map these needs to the comprehensive, multi-product solution set.
  • Demonstration & Persuasion: Develop and deliver engaging, tailored product demonstrations —often live and configured—that are memorable and persuasive, clearly communicating the platform's value.
  • Sales Support: Act as the technical guide in the sales cycle, collaborating closely with Account Executives and external implementation partners. Your focus is exclusively pre-sales.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a balance across three critical pillars. We're looking for attitude and aptitude over a specific degree or technical certification.
  • Technical Acumen: A passion for tinkering, experimentation, and learning quickly. You must be able to map technology to a business context, you won't be writing code, but you will be the technical face of the product.
  • Business Acumen: The ability to troubleshoot how a business operates, identify inefficiencies, and understand the financial and commercial implications of technology solutions, especially within the high-velocity SMB market.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent communication skills, a high level of comfort presenting to crowds, and the ability to be empathetic and persuasive while delivering a clear point of view.
