The Opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic Practice Manager
to lead operations at our Newcastle Clinic. You’ll manage a diverse team of 15 staff
including Medical Officers, Registered Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and Client Support Officers. This is a hands-on leadership role
responsible for clinical throughput, operational performance, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
This is a high-priority, urgent role
with an immediate start, offering a pathway from casual engagement to permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day clinic operations and manage multi-site outreach services
- Ensure optimal patient flow and maximise occasions of service
- Oversee staff rostering, performance management, and professional development
- Support retention of Medical Officers through engagement and effective workforce planning
- Manage budgets, Medicare billing, and operational KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement, quality, and compliance initiatives
- Uphold human rights values across all aspects of service delivery
- Proven leadership experience in primary care, community health, or medical practice management
- Strong people management skills with ability to manage a team of 15 staff
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyse operational performance and implement improvements
- Familiarity with Medicare billing, Best Practice/Hot Doc, or similar patient management systems
- NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel throughout NSW
- Australian working rights
- Clinical background or experience in sexual/reproductive health
- Experience managing multi-site operations or NGOs
- Knowledge of NSQHS Standards, Clinical Governance, and accreditation processes
- Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- Reference Checks
