About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Operator to join the team based in Dubbo. If you have hands-on experience with civil plant machinery and are ready to contribute to essential road and maintenance work, we’d love to hear from you!
Depending on performance and interest, there's potential for long-term or permanent employment beyond the initial 6-month term.
What You'll Be Doing:
Operating a variety of plant equipment across road construction and maintenance projects, including:
- Rollers
- Loaders
- Excavators
- Pulvi equipment
- Lime spreaders
Required:
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Plant operating experience in one or more of the following: rollers, loaders, excavators, pulvi, lime spreader
- Relevant plant operation tickets (especially for high-risk plant)
- Grader operation experience – highly regarded
- Standard 76-hour, 9-day fortnight
- Most RDOs fall on every second Monday (this may change around public holidays, school holidays etc)
- Some travel and Living Away from Home (LAFH) may be required depending on crew placement
- Typically, no more than two weeks at a time
- Less frequent for maintenance crews; more for heavy patching crews
- Competitive pay based on experience and skills
