Are you passionate about ensuring operational excellence in power generation? We are seeking two highly skilled candidates, an Outage Planner and Outage Scheduler to join our client’s team at their Power Generation Plant. These roles are pivotal in planning, scheduling, and coordinating outage operations and maintenance activities to ensure reliability and efficiency across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

  • Develop, plan, and schedule major overhauls and strategic maintenance programs.
  • Organise resources (materials, personnel, contractors) for maintenance and operations activities.
  • Coordinate transport, logistics, and contractors for internal and external maintenance work across WA, interstate, and overseas.
  • Prepare detailed work breakdown structures, scopes, and schedules for maintenance projects.
  • Manage tender and quote processes, ensuring compliance with commercial standards and contract award procedures.
Technical & Financial
  • Organise maintenance outage projects within budget, timeframes, and quality standards.
  • Manage service contracts with internal and external providers.
  • Assist in managing strategic and rotational spares holdings.
  • Prepare budgets for plant maintenance activities.
Safety & Leadership
  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Develop personal safety leadership skills and contribute to continuous improvement in safety practices.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Share technical knowledge and collaborate with peers and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Trade certificate or relevant qualifications in power generation or similar industry.
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Computerised Maintenance Systems (e.g., SAP).
    • Scheduling and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong understanding of work management, planning/scheduling, and contracting techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, standards, and procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical information clearly.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
