About the Role
You will lead the documentation of operational workflows across complex systems—mapping activities, decisions, and data capture points—and link them to output and outcome KPIs. Working closely with ICT and performance teams, you’ll clarify data definitions, surface gaps between processes and system behaviours, and produce defensible documentation that underpins assurance, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Document workflows: Map end-to-end operational processes in system workflows, showing how activities, decisions, and data capture support KPIs.
- Define data fields: Clarify purpose, definitions, and correct use of fields used (or usable) for performance reporting and analysis.
- Gap analysis: Identify misalignments between business processes, system workflows, and available data for measurement.
- Partner with ICT: Highlight system limitations, data quality issues, bugs, and redundant/low‑value fields impacting reporting.
- Measurement enablement: Support performance teams to decide what to measure, how to measure it, and where reliable data resides.
- Validation: Facilitate reviews with operational teams to ensure documentation reflects real practice and reporting needs.
- Deliverables: Produce clear, defensible documentation for system assurance, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engaging time‑poor stakeholders and securing timely input with minimal disruption.
- Discovering and validating undocumented workflows in environments with limited existing documentation.
- Navigating complex stakeholder dynamics across operational, performance, and ICT teams.
- Managing shifting priorities and concurrent tasks with strong organisation and adaptability.
- Effectively using Azure DevOps to plan, track, prioritise, and manage work across competing demands.
- Bachelor of Business/Commerce/Information Systems (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Demonstrated ability to develop clear process maps (e.g., BPMN, swimlanes, SIPOC).
- Experience working with data to support analysis, reporting, or performance insights.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with system data structures, field definitions, and data quality concepts.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps (boards, work items, backlog management) is highly regarded.
- Enjoy translating complex operations into crisp, actionable documentation.
- Can bridge business needs and technical system realities.
- Are detail‑oriented, outcomes‑focused, and comfortable challenging assumptions constructively.
