Chandler Macleod is seeking a highly capable People & Culture Business Partner
to support our client in building organisational capability, strengthening workplace culture and delivering people solutions that enable employees to thrive. This role is a full time 6 month contract with potential extension.
Working closely with directors, leaders and managers, you’ll provide trusted HR partnership across the full employee lifecycle. You will use data and insights to influence decision‑making, build strong relationships and shape people strategies aligned to organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will:
- Provide expert advice across performance management, staff conflict, grievances, case management and general HR matters
- Build a strong understanding of operational priorities, strategic direction and organisational goals
- Use data and analytics to identify people priorities, design solutions and measure impact
- Facilitate people‑focused discussions including restructuring, succession planning and coaching
- Deliver end‑to‑end P&C services including induction, workforce planning, recognition, career development and engagement initiatives
- Support long‑term workforce capability planning
- Contribute to an inclusive, positive and high‑performing workplace culture
- Ensure HR systems support accurate reporting and evidence‑based decisions
- Promote continuous improvement and culturally safe practices
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field
- Strong ability to build meaningful relationships across all levels
- Experience using data to inform decisions and influence outcomes
- Proven capability in developing and implementing people strategies and programs
- Highly effective communication, influencing and coaching skills
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities
- Sound understanding of relevant HR legislation and frameworks
- Energetic, enthusiastic and committed to quality people practices
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal judgment
- A values‑led approach with integrity, curiosity and impact
- Ability to ask insightful questions to uncover root causes and drive solutions
- Willingness to support the ethos and mission of the organisation
- Valid NSW/ACT Driver Licence
- NSW Working With Children Check & ACT Working with Vulnerable People Check (or ability to obtain)
- Satisfactory police and criminal history checks
- Commitment to mandatory training, codes of conduct and continuous improvement
- AHRI professional membership
