Our client is seeking 2 x payroll officers  for full‑time assignments running from 2 February to 31 March 2026.

About the Role

The Payroll Officer will play a key role in the timely and accurate processing of payroll activities within the Education sector. This includes handling payroll data entry, master data updates, new starter processing, superannuation, deductions, tax adjustments, transfers, terminations, and pay run verification.

The role also involves reviewing reports, addressing payroll queries, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process pay files and support pay‑related workflows
• Perform payroll tasks including master data entry, timesheet coding, and leave processing
• Investigate and resolve pay-related queries from schools, agencies, and employees
• Work autonomously and within a team to meet strict deadlines
• Contribute to daily team targets and shared goals

Candidate Requirements

• Mandatory: Current National Police Clearance
• Payroll experience (desirable)
• Experience with Chris21(highly desirable)
• Customer service experience, including call centre environments
• Strong data entry skills (minimum 40 wpm)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office(Word & Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage high workloads in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated reliability and consistent performance
