We’re working with a client who is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team. They’re open to candidates at different stages in their career – whether you’re just starting out in payroll or an experienced professional ready to step in and add value.
The Role This full-time position will see you managing the day-to-day payroll function, ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time, and assisting with reporting and compliance requirements. You’ll also provide support to employees with payroll queries and help maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing
- Maintaining employee records and data accuracy
- Assisting with payroll queries and support
- Interpreting awards, EBAs, and contracts
- Supporting reconciliations and payroll reporting
- Ensuring compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Previous payroll experience is an advantage, but training and support are available for junior candidates
- Familiarity with payroll systems will be highly regarded
- Full-time position with stability
