About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Officer
to join our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining payroll records. This role is essential in supporting our employees and maintaining smooth payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and administer payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies
- Calculate wages, bonuses, deductions, and benefits
- Maintain and update payroll records and employee data
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll reports
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments for smooth payroll operations
- Assist with audits and year-end payroll activities, including tax filings
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, payroll software, and applicable laws
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in MS Excel and payroll software (e.g. Xero, ADP, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certification in payroll or accounting is a plus
