Join a leading organisation in the infrastructure and services industry, recognised for delivering high-quality solutions and driving innovation across their projects. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Officer
to join their team in Pinkenba on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an experienced HR/payroll professional who can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end human resources administration, payroll processing, and operational support while maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing timely payroll services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, and personnel records.
- Process end-to-end payroll, including timesheet entry, wage payments, and payroll reporting.
- Maintain compliance by managing employee certifications, licences, and audit documentation.
- Ensure accuracy across HR and payroll systems (Visipay, Kronos).
- Provide recruitment support including job ads, interviews, and reference checks.
- Assist with procurement and logistics, including uniforms, PPE, travel, and supplier arrangements.
- Support staff recognition, HR projects, and general administrative tasks.
- Foster strong relationships with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
About You To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in HR and/or payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, awards, and compliance requirements.
- End-to-end payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (Visipay, Kronos preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, data validation, reporting).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organisational abilities.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to improve processes.
Additional Information
- Role is primarily office-based at Pinkenba, with occasional travel as required.
- Some after-hours work may be required.
- Pre-employment medical may be required prior to appointment.
