We are currently recruiting for a Parks Project Manager / Landscape Architect
for our client, a Local Council, based in Sydney. This is a 6-month contract from 08/09/2025 to 06/03/2026, working 35 hours per week, with a flexible start time between 7am–9am. The role pays $70–$85 per hour + super or $78.40–$95.20 per hour ABN.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of parks capital projects that enhance open space, recreation, and landscape infrastructure for the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver parks, open space and recreation capital works projects from investigation and design through to construction and completion.
- Undertake stakeholder engagement, contract administration, and project management.
- Prepare specifications, tenders, and environmental assessments.
- Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with Council policies and WHS standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to achieve project goals.
- Provide landscape architecture support and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or similar
- Experience in capital works design delivery of open space, recreation and landscape architecture projects
- Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable
- Strong procurement, budgeting, and project management skills.
- Experience in contract administration and supervising contractors.
- Skilled in CAD, project management software, and general computer applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
