We are currently recruiting a number of Parking Officers
to join a Local Council in Sydney. These are casual contract roles until 31/03/2026 with a pay rate of $44ph + super
for 38 hours per week, plus overtime rates for additional hours. Candidates who are only available for part time or weekends will also be considered.
Please note that we can only consider candidates with experience in a similar role within Local Government.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader and Manager, you will be part of a community-facing team responsible for delivering best practice parking enforcement services. Your duties will include:
- Conducting regular patrols of parking meters, residential zones, disabled bays, and Council car parks.
- Investigating parking complaints and issuing warnings, cautions, or infringements under applicable legislation.
- Acting as a professional ambassador for Council, supporting its values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Collaboration.
- Shifts may start at 7:30am, 8:30am or 9:30am, with weekend and public holiday work as part of a rotating roster.
- Local Government experience in parking enforcement or similar regulatory roles is essential
- Experience in customer-facing roles with strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound IT skills including MS Office and internal systems.
- Class C Driver’s Licence and willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check.
- Availability for am/pm shifts and weekend/public holiday work.
- Certificate in Government Investigations.
- Experience representing Council in Local Court proceedings.
