Chandler Macleod are recruiting for an organised and proactive Panel Support Officer to join our client for a 12-month, part-time temporary contract based in Perth. This role exists to assist the Panel Support Team Leader in managing regional panels and ensuring all their activities run smoothly and in line with organisational policies. Position Details

  • Role: Panel Support Officer
  • Contract length: 12 months
  • Part-time: Thursday, Friday (mandatory), plus any other day(s) to total approximately 22 hours per week
  • Location: Perth
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Panel Support Team Leader and Managers with regional panel activities.
  • Liaise with stakeholders via phone, email, and meetings to coordinate panel-related tasks.
  • Assist in managing project budgets and contract financial administration in line with policies.
  • Coordinate internal communication and foster effective relationships with business groups, consultants, and panel members.
  • Prepare agendas, gather papers, and organise their distribution before meetings.
  • Attend panel meetings, taking detailed and accurate minutes, capturing key discussions, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Create outcome papers from panel rounds for approval and distribution to stakeholders.
  • Organise and coordinate panel meetings and the annual Spring Tour, including travel arrangements for panel members.
  • Ensure travel and sitting fees are within budget and adhere to company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality, support our values, and contribute to seamless regional operations.
About You

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and confidently manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to multitask and re-prioritise as needed.
  • Experience in minute-taking during meetings, capturing key points accurately.
  • Strong relationship management skills; capable of influencing positive outcomes.
  • Resilient, proactive, and discreet—able to handle sensitive information with care.
  • Willing to travel when necessary and hold a valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Previous experience in administrative or project support roles, ideally within governance or research settings, is a plus.
