Are you an experienced industrial painter looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a skilled Painter/Blaster to join the team in Gunnedah, working across a variety of projects to deliver high-quality protective coating applications on steel, timber, and other surfaces.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring assets are protected, safe, and finished to the highest standards — with a strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely apply and remove industrial protective coatings in line with manufacturer specifications and quality standards
  • Carry out surface preparation, including abrasive blasting, to ensure optimal coating performance
  • Operate and maintain small plant and hand tools, performing basic maintenance and safety checks
  • Complete measurements, inspections, and reports to confirm work quality.
  • Identify and address routine problems independently, escalating complex issues where required
  • Adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental procedures, ensuring risks are controlled and work is completed responsibly
You’ll bring
  • Proven experience in a Painter Grade 1–2 position or equivalent industrial painting role
  • Demonstrated skill in abrasive blasting and surface preparation
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills for completing work records and reporting
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
  • Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent)
  • Current Construction Industry White Card
  • Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Willingness to obtain any additional internal or legislated licences/tickets as required
