MR/HR Drivers

Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced HR / MR drivers to join a dynamic team within a large catering facility located at the Cairns Airport. Rotating Day and Afternoon shifts are on offer with the opportunity of OT and weekend rates. Our client is a leading and successful food manufacturing giant supplying meals to many of the globes major Airlines.

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

• Short distance driving and basic vehicle checks, including re-fueling.
• Load and unload trucks and aircraft with catering, carts, and ovens, ensuring any discrepancies are followed up on.
• Guide and position the trucks in line with company, airport, and airline policies.
• Communicate and coordinate with airline cabin crew for aircraft servicing and delivery hand over.
• Administrative documentation, reporting and general cleaning duties as required.

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

• MR or HR driver’s license required.
• Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.
• Flexibility working around flight schedules is essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Neat and tidy presentation.
• As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
