Temporary Opportunity – Ministerial Liaison Support Officer (1-2 Months)
Location: Perth, WA
Duration: 1-2 months
Start: Immediate

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and experienced in government processes? We are seeking a motivated professional to join our clients  Ministerial Liaison Unit (MLU) for a short-term assignment supporting critical ministerial and parliamentary functions.

About the Role


In this fast-paced and high-volume environment, you will:

  • Coordinate ministerial and parliamentary correspondence to ensure timely, accurate responses.
  • Allocate and track requests from Ministerial offices, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Undertake quality assurance to maintain compliance with departmental standards.
  • Process Cabinet submissions and liaise with the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
  • Provide advice on ministerial protocols and assist with training initiatives.
  • Prepare reports on performance metrics and contribute to process improvements.
What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience coordinating ministerial or departmental correspondence with knowledge of government processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise initiative.
  • Collaborative team player willing to share knowledge and support others.
Desirable:
  • Progress towards a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunity principles in employment and service delivery.
