Position: Mechanical Tradesperson
Start Date: ASAP

Hours per week: 38 hrs. p/w
Location: Kwinana, WA
Pay Rate to: Up to $54.48p/h + OT depending on experience
About the role:
This role is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and commissioning of mechanical components across water and wastewater assets. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, supporting operational reliability across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on water and wastewater systems
- Install mechanical components and carry out complex isolation and shutdown procedures
- Diagnose faults using SCADA, OIPs and operator collaboration
- Provide on‑the‑job training and supervision to apprentices and other personnel
- Plan and prepare maintenance work and assist with project execution
- Liaise with engineers to resolve complex technical issues
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
- Participate in call-out/standby rosters as required
Key Skills & Experience:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitter
- Relevant High-Risk licences
- WA MR Class Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- First Aid Certificate
- Dogman Certificate
- Confined Space Entry competency
- Gas Test Atmosphere
- Strong experience with pumping systems, hydraulics and gas chlorination
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
