Roster & Shift Pattern (Heron)- 3D, 2N, 5 off, 2D, 2N, 5 off, 2D, 3N, 4 off
Pay Rate$70.03 per hour (day shift) | $87.54 per hour (night shift) + super on all hours worked
 
  About the Role
Our Client, Rio  Tinto Aluminium – Yarwun are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support the maintenance team. In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining site reliability and ensuring continuity of operations. This opportunity suits tradespeople comfortable working a structured lifestyle roster in a large‑scale, high‑risk industrial environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across site assets
• Support both planned and reactive maintenance activities aligned with site schedules
• Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto safety standards, procedures, and permit systems
• Work collaboratively within the Elliott Crew structure to maintain operational continuity
 
What We’re Looking For
• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Experience in heavy industry, mining, or large‑scale processing environments preferred
• Strong safety focus and ability to work in high‑risk operational environments
• Capacity to work rotating day and night shift lifestyle rosters
• Site ready for Yarwun or able to complete inductions and medicals promptly
