Mechanical Engineer 

Join a leading mining project team based in Perth CBD as a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile brownfields project involving slurry tanks, pumps, piping, and conveyor system upgrades.

Location: Perth CBD
Roster: 5:2 (8-hour days)
Contract: 12 months (ASAP start)
 
About the Role
You will play a key role in delivering the Central Aerobelt Reversal Project, overseeing engineering scope development, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. This position will suit a proactive engineer with strong brownfields project delivery experience and a hands-on approach to solving complex mechanical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage scopes of work and technical documentation
  • Lead procurement and coordination with suppliers and contractors
  • Oversee design consultants and ensure technical compliance
  • Liaise with key project stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress
  • Support construction activities and ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality expectations
  Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering projects in a brownfields mining environment
  • Experience with slurry piping or materials handling design is highly regarded
  • Previous site-based construction experience
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to deliver on schedule-critical projects
