About the Role
Join a leading Tier 1 Mining Company
as a Material Controller
on a FIFO roster from Perth to the Pilbara.
This short-term contract (3–6 months) offers the chance to work within a high-performing project team, supporting critical material and logistics activities that ensure the smooth delivery of key site works.
You’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining stock accuracy, optimising laydown areas, supporting procurement schedules, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a structured MS SharePoint
folder system for material documentation.
- Optimise space utilisation and monitor project laydown areas.
- Conduct audits of material stock levels
and verify business partner material take-off documentation.
- Assist the Operational Readiness team
with the delivery of maintenance spares into the site warehouse.
- Drive procurement schedules and assist partners with expediting project equipment and materials.
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials and equipment for compliance with transport and loading standards.
- Support QA/QC
with site acceptance, compliance, and material certification.
- Assist Package Leads
with logistics of company-issued items.
- Operate a forklift
to load and unload materials safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
in line with company policies.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Proven experience in materials coordination or logistics
within construction or mining projects.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- High Risk Licence
with demonstrated experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
- Exposure to Company Processes and Systems, ideally within Project Delivery Teams(advantageous).
- Confident computer skills across the MS Office suite.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
