$80 - $85 per hour
 

About the Role Join a leading Tier 1 Mining Company as a Material Controller on a FIFO roster from Perth to the Pilbara.
This short-term contract (3–6 months) offers the chance to work within a high-performing project team, supporting critical material and logistics activities that ensure the smooth delivery of key site works.

You’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining stock accuracy, optimising laydown areas, supporting procurement schedules, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety procedures.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a structured MS SharePoint folder system for material documentation.
  
  
• Optimise space utilisation and monitor project laydown areas.
  
  
• Conduct audits of material stock levels and verify business partner material take-off documentation.
  
  
• Assist the Operational Readiness team with the delivery of maintenance spares into the site warehouse.
  
  
• Drive procurement schedules and assist partners with expediting project equipment and materials.
  
  
• Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials and equipment for compliance with transport and loading standards.
  
  
• Support QA/QC with site acceptance, compliance, and material certification.
  
  
• Assist Package Leads with logistics of company-issued items.
  
  
• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials safely.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment in line with company policies.
   
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Excellent communication skills and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  
  
• Proven experience in materials coordination or logistics within construction or mining projects.
  
  
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  
  
• High Risk Licence with demonstrated experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
  
  
• Exposure to Company Processes and Systems, ideally within Project Delivery Teams(advantageous).
  
  
• Confident computer skills across the MS Office suite.
  
  
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
