About the Role
As Master Scheduler, you will create and maintain a comprehensive program-wide integrated schedule, ensuring seamless coordination between business units, technology teams, and vendors. You’ll apply your expertise in schedule and dependency management to keep the program moving forward, while engaging stakeholders at all levels to address risks, resolve resource conflicts, and adapt to evolving priorities.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Integrated Schedule Management – Build and maintain a master schedule spanning Business, Technology, and Vendor activities, ensuring alignment to program objectives.
- Framework & Standards – Develop and implement a robust scheduling and dependency management framework.
- Resource Demand Planning – Accurately reflect and forecast resource needs, proactively resolving conflicts.
- Reporting & Communication – Deliver tailored schedule views and reports, including critical path analysis, for governance forums and steering committees.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with Program Leads, Workstream Leads, and Vendors to gather updates, manage changes, and communicate risks and mitigation strategies.
- Dependency Management – Track, report, and manage cross-stream and vendor dependencies to safeguard delivery timelines.
- Vendor Oversight – Ensure vendor deliverables are accurately tracked against contractual obligations.
We need someone who can balance discipline with flexibility. You’ll have the rigour to uphold scheduling standards, but also the pragmatism to adapt when real-world challenges arise.
Success Profile

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Experience in WBS and dependency framework development.
- Skilled in synthesising complex data into clear, actionable reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Information Technology, or related field.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Preferable understanding of Australian regulations, standards, and legislative requirements relevant to IT project delivery.
