We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor for our client, a community housing provider based in Sydney. This is a 2-month contract commencing early September, working 38 hours per week, and paying $63.75 per hour + super.
This is a hands-on operational role within the Asset Services team, responsible for inspecting vacant and tenanted properties and coordinating trade contractors to deliver planned maintenance, modifications, technical inspections, and void maintenance works. The goal is to minimise void times while ensuring all work is completed in line with safety regulations and standards, and maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned maintenance programs, including scoping, inspections, and contractor coordination.
- Manage void property works to meet KPIs and reduce turnaround times.
- Oversee disability modifications in collaboration with occupational therapists and support services.
- Ensure contractor compliance with WHS obligations, building codes, and Australian Standards.
- Maintain accurate records, monitor contractor performance, and ensure value-for-money outcomes.
- Provide technical advice and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Trade background with relevant qualifications (e.g. contractor’s license, White Card).
- Experience in government (Homes NSW), social or affordable housing for either the client or a contractor is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of WHS obligations and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel across metropolitan Sydney.
