Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Officer for an ongoing casual role working three days per week. This role supports the delivery of safe, comfortable, and well-maintained facilities for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance duties across facilities, including planned, responsive, and emergency repairs
  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities and assist with maintenance scheduling
  • Action and close out maintenance requests using online systems and maintain accurate documentation
  • Undertake general repairs including carpentry, painting, plaster patching, minor plumbing and electrical work
  • Assist with furniture and equipment movements, set-ups, and relocation
  • Support refurbishments and construction-related works within residential and independent living facilities
  • Maintain tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles in safe working order
  • Assist with inspections, condition reporting, asset registers, and equipment audits
  • Coordinate and work with external contractors where required
  • Provide professional, respectful, and courteous service to residents, families, and visitors
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing development activities
What we’re looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience in general hand, power and construction tools to a reasonable level
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Aptitude in exercising initiative, problem solving and working independently and efficiently with limited supervision towards the achievement of agreed objectives in line with operational requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Competent knowledge and ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with facilities/asset management systems and technologies
  • Good understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence is essential
  • National police check and NDISWC required prior to engagement
