Maintenance Manager

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for our client in Adelaide’s northern suburbs. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll drive team performance, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the reliability and safety of plant equipment in a high-performance steel manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled maintenance team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to align maintenance strategies with production goals.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, heavy machinery, and production equipment.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in maintenance management within steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement process improvements in a high-performance environment.
• Familiarity with CMMS and lean maintenance practices.
