Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter
to join our client in poultry processing. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment across the site, ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently. This role offers the chance to work in a modern, high-standard facility in a full-time role.
About the Role
A Maintenance Fitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems across the site. The goal is to ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support continuous production.
What You’ll Need
- Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter
- Good mechanical aptitude
- 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or food processing
- Full working rights in Australia
- Own vehicle ¤nt driver’s license
- Physically fit & comfortable working with raw poultry in refrigerated environments
- Positive attitude & strong safety focus
Critical Skills
- Knowledge of food processing industry & GMP standards
- Ability to make quick, accurate decisions on the job
- Basic communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to achieve production targets & follow Baiada Poultry guidelines
- Commitment to hygienic food production
Preferred Skills
- Welding & thermal cutting proficiency (certificate level)
- HACCP and food handling training
- Ability to work collaboratively to resolve problems and improve systems
