Position: Maintenance Electrician - 24/7 Roster Location:  Somersby NSW
Start Date:  ASAP


About the Role We are searching for a reliable and trustworthy  Maintenance Electrician  in a leading manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production line equipment used in the manufacture of autoclaved aerated concrete products. This includes electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and supporting upgrades to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, and Operations teams to improve quality and throughput in a high-volume environment.

This role will report to the Maintenance Manager, to follow a 24/7 roster, shifts generally being 12 hours, either 0600am-1800pm or 1800pm-0600am. 
Some overtime may be required during peak periods.

This role will initially be offered on a 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension for the right candidate, potentially leading to an ongoing position


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance on production machinery, including mixers, autoclaves, cutting lines, and conveyors.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and safety standards.
  • Maintain compliance with WHS regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Ability to cross-collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and contractors to site
  • Supporting the maintenance team on planned maintenance days
Requirements
  • Experience:  Minimum 3–5 years in an industrial setting; experience in manufacturing or heavy industry highly regarded.
  • Experience with PLCs
  • Qualifications:  Electrical trade qualifications (licensed electrician).
  • Licenses:
  • Current forklift license (desirable)
  • Confined Spaces 
  • Working at Heights
  • Own reliable transport.
