We’re looking for an experienced A-Grade Electrician to join at their Laverton manufacturing site, supporting critical food manufacturing operations across their Laverton and Tanon sites. This is a full-time permanenet role.
About the Role
Working Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for early starts and occasional weekend work, you'll play a hands-on role maintaining and improving our client's production plant and facilities. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor/Maintenance Manager, your focus will be on keeping their operations safe, efficient, and compliant with food industry standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain, service and repair electrical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, fans, heaters, and control panels.
- Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and safety inspections in line with their maintenance strategy.
- Work across systems involving PLCs, instrumentation, and multi-loop control systems.
- Support commissioning of new equipment and modify existing installations as needed.
- Contribute to WHS, HACCP, and food safety compliance.
- Be available for early starts (as early as 4:00 am once a month) and occasional weekend work.
- Standard hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
What We’re Looking For
- A-Grade Electrical Licence (Essential).
- Minimum 2–3 years of electrical experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and electrical drawings.
- Flexible attitude with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
- Forklift licence, EWP, and confined space entry experience are desirable.
