Loader/Compactor Operator

Are you a skilled operator with experience in landfills, mining, or commercial waste management? Our client is seeking a dedicated Loader/Compactor Operator to help optimize landfill operations at a reputable Onslow site. This is an exciting opportunity for those with industry experience who want to contribute to sustainable waste management and work with a supportive team in a stable, direct-hire role.

What You'll Do:

• Operate front-end loaders and compactors efficiently to manage waste and materials at a busy landfill site
• Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed and maintain operational standards
• Assist in day-to-day landfill operations, including loading, moving, and compacting materials
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance as needed

Required Skills:

• Proven experience operating loaders and compactors, preferably in commercial or industrial settings
• Valid Drivers' License and White Card in good standing
• Compactor ticket is essential; frontend loader ticket is required
• Strong commitment to safety and operational best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Mining background or experience with government or municipal waste facilities
• Additional tickets or certifications relevant to heavy equipment operation or safety standards
• Experience working in remote or regional locations

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in waste management, landfills, mining, or related fields preferred
• At least 2+ years of relevant operating experience for optimal fit

Other Requirements:

• Must hold a valid HR Driver's License
• Willingness to relocate or commute to Onslow, with housing and relocation assistance available
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
