Are you a skilled and passionate Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to make an impact in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team in Dampier’s Ports Division. This opportunity offers a unique chance to work on a diverse fleet of light vehicles, including Toyota Hilux, Land Cruiser, and Prado models, in a role that is both technically challenging and rewarding.

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and servicing our light vehicle fleet, ensuring operational safety and efficiency. Operating on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, you’ll enjoy a balanced schedule while working alongside a dedicated team committed to excellence.

Required Skills

  • Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with proven experience
  • Skilled in vehicle air conditioning repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and undertake unplanned repairs
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, including Job Hazard Assessments, Take 5s, and Critical Risk Management
Nice to Have Skills

  • Forklift license and experience operating forklifts
  • Familiarity with fleet management and diagnostic tools
  • Prior experience working in a port or industrial environment
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Relevant qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining light vehicle fleets
Other Requirements

  • Valid Forklift License preferred
  • Commitment to safety and compliance in a high-standard work environment
  • Willingness to adhere to roster schedule and work in a team-oriented setting
