Are you an experienced legal professional with expertise in corporate governance, public sector compliance, and commercial law? Join our client as a Company Secretary & Legal Counsel and play a key role in driving governance excellence, managing legal risks, and supporting strategic infrastructure projects.
In this leadership role, you will advise the Board and Executive team, manage legal frameworks, and ensure compliance with Victorian public sector regulations. Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise in corporate governance and board processes
- Commercial legal experience including contracts, procurement, infrastructure projects
- Strong risk management and legal drafting skills
- Experience advising Boards and senior leadership
- Knowledge of Victorian public sector legislation and compliance standards
- Minimum 10 years post-admission legal experience
- Previous experience in government, infrastructure, or energy sectors is highly desirable
- Legal qualification (admitted lawyer)
- Membership/Fellowship with Governance Institute of Australia preferred
- Ability to work hybrid (office and remote) with multiple locations (Crib Point VIC, Melbourne CBD)
