Leading Hand Carpenter
Location: Gladstone
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work (48-hour weeks)
Pay Rate:$40-$48/hr +  superannuation   About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Leading Hand Carpenter to join our team and take charge of delivering high-quality carpentry work while leading and supporting a crew on site. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience and a strong trade background to step into a key position.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination

  • Assist the Supervisor in daily operations and task execution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of carpenters on site.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available, used correctly, and stored appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide feedback to the Supervisor.
  • Participate in developing scopes and scheduling tasks.
Carpentry Duties
  • Perform manual labour and all tasks associated with the Carpentry Trade.
  • Scope carpentry tasks, conduct material take-offs, and order required materials.
  • Attend work sites punctually, fit for duty, and actively participate in toolbox talks.
  • Follow instructions from Supervisors and ensure the team does the same.
  Requirements
  • Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry (minimum requirement)
  • Medical Clearance: Must have passed or be able to pass a 3-site medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening and full functional assessment
  • Experience:
    • Civil construction experience is a bonus
    • Leadership experience is highly desirable for Leading Hand applicants
