About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Mechanical Engineer who is interested to build practical experience on site. This role provides a strong foundation for early-career engineers, offering exposure to mechanical design work, equipment modifications, diagnostics, and day-to-day project support within a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with engineers and technical staff, assisting with design updates, resolving mechanical issues, supporting production activities, and gradually stepping into more responsibility as you grow within the team.
Role Responsibilities
• Support mechanical design tasks and participate in problem-solving activities
• Create 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings for various projects
• Assist with preparing project specifications and documentation
• Support day-to-day activities in the engineering office and workshop
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to provide design support and process improvements
• Write manuals and operating procedures for machinery to meet high standards
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and wholesalers, and follow up on procurement and delivery schedules
• Investigate and troubleshoot machinery and process issues in a manufacturing environment
• Assist with supporting production activities nationally and contribute to projects such as installations and upgrades
Selection Criteria
• Recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering (within the last 2 years)
• Full working rights to be eligible to work in Australia
• Strong desire to learn, proactive attitude, and self-motivation
• Good problem-solving skills and a team-focused approach
• Ability to work in an on-site manufacturing environment in Brisbane Southside
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Eagerness to gain practical experience across manufacturing processes and machinery
