About the Role
Our client, a leading provider of essential services, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to join their Procurement team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate accounting, secure storage, and timely distribution of inventory across multiple operational sites.
As part of a dynamic team, you’ll support internal customers including operations crews, maintenance planners, and project managers. You’ll also coordinate deliveries, manage stocktaking activities, and liaise with suppliers to maintain efficient inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage requisitions and receipts using ERP systems
- Ensure safe and secure storage of inventory
- Conduct regular stocktakes and report discrepancies
- Catalogue inventory and coordinate purchase orders
- Liaise with suppliers and coordinate quotations
- Load/unload delivery vehicles and maintain storerooms
- Deliver inventory across operational sites
- Coordinate bulk material orders and inventory disposals
- Support the Incident Management Team when required
Essential Criteria
- Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehousing
- Experience in similar environments (e.g., Defence, utilities, construction, retail)
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
- Valid C Class driver’s licence and LF Class forklift licence
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
Desirable
- Backhoe/Excavator licence
- Experience with Ventyx / ABB / Hitachi ERP systems
- Knowledge of civil construction products and plumbing fittings
- Experience in load restraint and goods transportation
