About the Company
Our client is a leading global organisation specialising in the extraction and processing of precious and base metals, including gold, copper, silver, zinc, lead, and molybdenum. With a longstanding history dating back to 1921, the company operates in prime mining jurisdictions across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and North America. Renowned for its commitment to sustainable practices, safety standards, and responsible environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, it is the only gold producer listed on the S&P 500 Index. The organisation prides itself on its industry-leading approach to value creation, technical excellence, and a diverse portfolio of world-class assets.

About the Role
This is an immediate-start opportunity based out of Perth's Subiaco office, with a hybrid working arrangement (including WFH options). The role is part of the Inventory Management team supporting the ongoing Tanami expansion project. Reporting directly to the Lead Business Readiness, this position focuses on maintaining and improving material master data to optimise inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and delete material master data within SAP systems.
  • Improve quality, completeness, and accuracy of material catalogues.
  • Support master data governance by validating SAP material master inputs, including supplier information, demand forecasts, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Projects, Operations, Maintenance, and Inventory to ensure catalogue requests align with strategic stocking and maintenance requirements.
  • Challenge and validate requests to reduce unnecessary inventory, optimise working capital, and support operational efficiencies.
About You
  • Proven experience in material cataloguing and master data management, preferably with SAP.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret user inputs critically and ensure high-quality data outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale projects or mining operations is advantageous.
Why this role?
Joining this organisation offers the chance to be part of a globally recognised industry leader committed to sustainability and safety. The hybrid work model provides flexibility, while the dynamic project environment offers professional growth and meaningful contribution to significant expansion initiatives. If you are detail-oriented, confident in your SAP expertise, and eager to work within a supportive team, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a respected organisation.
