About the Client:
Our client is a Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for multiple Intranet Officers to join their busy team for a casual 12-months temporary assignment.
About the Role
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Intranet Officers (APS5)
and Senior Intranet Officers (APS6)
to join our client’s Internal Platforms and Channels team. These roles will play an important part in the redevelopment and day-to-day management of the intranet during a significant period of change.
Both levels will support and advise business areas, publish accessible content, and contribute to the optimisation of the Agency’s internal communications platforms.
- The APS5 Equivalent Intranet Officer is primarily responsible for supporting publishing requests, providing guidance on intranet best practice, and assisting with content uplift from the old intranet to the new.
- The APS6 Equivalent Senior Intranet Officer takes on a more strategic role, leading on content analysis, stakeholder engagement, and optimisation initiatives, while also supporting and mentoring team members.
APS5 Intranet Officer:
- Develop and publish intranet content in line with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), style guides and plain English principles.
- Support business areas on intranet best practice and accessibility.
- Manage intranet publishing requests through the service desk, including triaging where required.
- Assist with uplifting content and documents from the old intranet to the new, ensuring accessibility compliance.
- Collaborate with Strategic Communications and internal stakeholders to meet business objectives.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the team.
- Work closely with business areas to analyse, identify and develop engaging, accessible content for the intranet.
- Ensure intranet decision-making and content aligns with the Agency’s content strategy.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, resolving emerging challenges.
- Report on intranet performance and recommend improvements based on data and research.
- Lead contributions to the intranet redevelopment project.
- Provide guidance, support and mentoring to other team members.
About You
To be successful in either role, you will bring:
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write in plain English and adapt content for different audiences.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, digital publishing, and intranet best practices.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to analyse and evaluate content performance, and make strategic recommendations.
- Experience leading projects, initiatives, or team members.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to resolve complex issues.

- Equivalent $60.26 per hour + super
- Equivalent AS5 $55.24 per hour + super
