About the Role

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Intranet Officers (APS5) and Senior Intranet Officers (APS6) to join our client’s Internal Platforms and Channels team. These roles will play an important part in the redevelopment and day-to-day management of the intranet during a significant period of change.
Both levels will support and advise business areas, publish accessible content, and contribute to the optimisation of the Agency’s internal communications platforms.

  • Develop and publish intranet content in line with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), style guides and plain English principles.
  • Support business areas on intranet best practice and accessibility.
  • Manage intranet publishing requests through the service desk, including triaging where required.
  • Assist with uplifting content and documents from the old intranet to the new, ensuring accessibility compliance.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Communications and internal stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the team.
APS6 Senior Intranet Officer (in addition to the above):
  • Work closely with business areas to analyse, identify and develop engaging, accessible content for the intranet.
  • Ensure intranet decision-making and content aligns with the Agency’s content strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, resolving emerging challenges.
  • Report on intranet performance and recommend improvements based on data and research.
  • Lead contributions to the intranet redevelopment project.
  • Provide guidance, support and mentoring to other team members.

About You
To be successful in either role, you will bring:
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write in plain English and adapt content for different audiences.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, digital publishing, and intranet best practices.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
At APS6 level, you will also demonstrate:
  • The ability to analyse and evaluate content performance, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Experience leading projects, initiatives, or team members.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to resolve complex issues.
