Overview
The purpose of the role is responsible for creating engaging content for learning initiatives and delivery using a variety of learning creation tools and platforms delivered via blended learning methodologies.
This will be achieved via direct and indirect consultation with the branch Clients, industry and Strategy teams, and be developed to ensure relevant regulatory standards are adhered and followed in conjunction with client specific requirements, including both soft skills and hard skills.
Key accountabilities
• Create engaging, high quality and compelling course content and artefacts that meet the required needs of our clients.
• Engage with clients to identify specific learning outcomes and or requirements inclusive of delivery methods, content type and regulatory and legislative outcomes or requirements.
• Use Learning and Assessment Strategies (LAS), story boards and supporting artefacts to create detailed course content for varied audiences cover a broad range of learning levels.
• Create supporting learning material such as audio, video, simulations, work instructions, quick reference guides, role plays, games etc. that align to client objectives.
• Build engaging exercises and course content that enhances the learning experience.
• Design assessment tools that appropriately measure learner competencies, including but not limited to knowledge and skills.
• Ensure training artefacts developed are in line with the required and or agreed standards/regulations and where applicable develop learning content that meet the compliance standards as outlined within the relevant VET Standards and or Regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and experience
• Previous experience working within an instructional design team or group.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Standards for RTOs 2015.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of corporate computing systems and applications in creating documents, training artefacts materials, editing and publishing.
• Experience in conducting functional task analysis and risk based training needs analysis.
• Proficiency in a wide range of learning creation tools.
Essential requirements
• Proven experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of learning programs, products and artefacts.
•Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (or its successor or equivalent) and/or other relevant tertiary qualifications, or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience.
